Week in Photos

Haven't done one of these for a while, just a few photos of uninteresting things, and food.
- Before heading to Wales a few weeks ago, we met our friend Alex's new kitten; Tigerlily. She's so cute and mischevious, we tried to take her to the cottage but she hid under the sofa^_^
- Myself and Luke playing on Kev's Mac. The rollercoaster Photobooth option's so fun :')
- If I can add cheese onto food at any point, I will.
- The perfect accompaniment to a rainy afternoon.
- Hope with Heather's dog, Ozzy, one of the rare moment he stays still.
- As above, I love cheese. This is my favourite comfort food - pasta, ketchup and cheese, nom.
- It was Jack's 21st a few weeks ago and his dad's friend's a photographer, so he got the oblig. cheesy group and couple shots. I really like this one though, so have it :)

Later tonight I'm going with Jack to see The Inbetweeners movie, loking forward to it so I hope this rain goes off :(
Has anyone seen the movie yet?

Align Centre
Hey guys, just a quick post on my lazy Saturday afternoon, nothing too fancy just making sure I keep blogging regularly so it becomes a good habit rather than something I feel I have to do even when I don't know what to write about :)

My Graze box arrived today, I'm really excited to try out the two on the left as they are new to me. (Is it sad to be excited by fruit and nuts?!) The two on the right are what I call old faithfuls, I've had them in about three boxes and I always click the "Send Soon" button when rating what I would like to recieve. Also I can guarantee about three of these boxes will be empty by the time I leave to go to Jack's this evening haha.

If you haven't yet tried a Graze box, use the code C3MVH3H to get your first box free and your second half price :)

I'm spending this afternoon catching up on WWE Raw and Smackdown, yep life-long wrestling fan here! Need to finish reading the two books I have on the go right now, can I add two of the best books I've read this year so far.
Fear and Loathing was made into a movie with Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro in '98, brilliant movie which keeps to the book as much as possible, something I always appreciate when books are adapted into movies. Also, the illustrations in the book are so surreal, drawn by Ralph Steadman who is from Wallasey which is just over the Mersey from Liverpool. His drawings can really mess with your mind in terms of what you think you see and what is actually there.
Everville is my favourite Clive Barker book, I've only read a handful of his books, but he's a fantastic writer whose work would be a great addition to your bookshelf!

How do you usually spend your Saturdays? :)

Week in Photos

I'm cheating slightly as some of these photos are from the week before I was in Cornwall, just haven't had the chance to share them, doubt you'll mind!

- Playing round with my mum's camera, being vain. it makes me look quite red though, dunno how to use the different settings

- Went with Heather & Danni for a Nandos before Cornwall; medium chicken wings, garlic bread and Peri Peri chips, nom!

- We found a Heather-sized cash machine on the way to BaaBar!

- Last week's Graze box, all so nice think I demolished it that night. Use code C3MVH3H for a free trial box and your second half price

- The ring and bracelet I treated myself to in Perranport. The bracelet's quite long so when it drags across my arm I freak thinking it's a spider or a bug :/

- More empty products for my Project 10 Pan thing, I think I've gone over 10 items by now, but I'll just keep going, doing pretty well

- Our friend Donna moved to London so we went for a farewell meal to Big Bowl Noodle on Berry St, the guys in there know us cos we can't stop going! We all had Satay chicken w/ fried rice, yummy!
If you live in Liverpool please check it out, it's cheap, they do student discount and the portions are huge, I'm not joking!

- Hope's bosom was flashing in Hannah's Bar later that night...

- The gorgeous flowers in our front garden, haven't a clue what they're called but I like'em :)

- One of many cups of tea since being home. This mug is so cool, it's got a lid to keep it at the perfect temperature

- The Body Shop products I purchased using the Groupon voucher I got aaages ago - paid £12 for £30 worth of products. I used it on the very last day as I'd forgotten about it, oops!
I'm very happy with what I got and will do any reviews if you would like?

I'm currently flitting between tidying the house & packing my suitcase in the hopes my passport arrives in time for Turkey on Monday!
I had my interview, but my dad had to drive me to Blackburn as Liverpool's office had no free dates, typical for me! But I rang earlier and the man said it had been printed s should arrive over the weekend, I really hope it does as I'd be devastated if I couldn't go :( Fingers crossed you guys!

Are you going abroad this year? Anywhere nice? :)

Week (and a bit) in Photos

It's been about a fortnight, I know, I know. But uni's nearly over, just got a few bits to pull through next week and I'm finished until October, and I'm all yours :)

- After I tore apart my old rickety desk, my new one is up but I'm yet to take a photo of it, so bear with me if you're actually interested haha. It feels really nice to sit properly instead of lounging on my bed with my laptop all the time, makes me feel more productive I guess?

- Me in my Catastrophe Cosmetic mask from Lush. It's gorgeous, smells of bluberries and leaves my skin really soft and less red. Only down side is when it's drying, it goes slightly powdery, but I can live with it.

- The newsagents by mine sells huuge bags of my favourite M&M's for £1.50, guess who's getting all my spare pennies from now on?
- What I've been flicking through this week, having finished reading Strangers by Dean Koontz - he's such a talented thriller/sci fi writer, worth checking out!

- Movies I have/am going to watch this week. Already watched 40 Y-O Virgin and The Incredibles, plan to watch the modern Romeo & Juliet and maybe Ed Wood later tonight.

- Heather got a car for her 21st, we named it Tracey Beeper! haha awesome name :')
We drove up to Ormskirk to do some stuff at uni and had a look for stuf for her house party on Saturday. Picked up the shoes below for £19.99 in New Look, they're so comfy on, I love the chunky heel.

- The awesome cupcakes my mum's friend made for Heather, they looked gorgeous and tasted yummy.
And the stand they're on was handcrafted by Hope in my lean-to, with a stereo box, cellotape and silver spray paint. I supervised and made the tea ^_^

A couple of photos from her 21st house party and we then ventured into town for flavoured tequila, ridiculous dancing and sweaty times in The Krazyhouse. Such a fun night, everyone was really drunk, but thankfully no nasty drunks :P

Also I'm currently updating my Ipod for some summer tunes and for when we go to Cornwall in two weeks. Any fun/relaxing songs I should download?

Nothing much to tell so far this week - been doing a lot of Shorthand so I can get my speed up as I'm lagging behind, but my poor wrist just doesn't want to move any faster! We're also working in groups to make magazines for Print, and I'm really excited to make it, as I made one on wrestling in A Level Media, and got an A ^_^ Ours is based around the Northwest music scene, but with fashion bits thrown in for variety.
We're currently just making page plans, as we have thirty pages to fill, plus finding adverts to use, but it'll be awesome when it's finished!
Saw my kosherpop Alex last night after what seemed like forever, we went to Maccies, both got large quarter pounder meals, six chicken nuggets, and then got cherry pies for back at his. My word, I love cherry pie I could have eaten seven! We played about on his fancy mac for abit before watching A Scanner Darkly. It's a really good movie, very clever, but the fact they've filmed it then solarized it so it looks cartoony totally threw me. But I'd suggest it if you like weird movies that make you think.

I'm seeing Jack tomorrow night, and we're going for food and then to see Gulliver's Travels. We're both huge fans of Jack Black (especially Tenacious D) so even if the movie itself isn't that good, we won't be that fussed as he's so funny.
I'll hopefully have time to chuck an outfit post of a quick photo of my nails tomorrow when I get home from uni.

I'm gonna make tea soon with the mother, we're cooking a healthy pasta bake, so it'll hopefully be like the one above which looks yummy, but with red onion, broccoli and tomatoes instead of red pepper. Wish me luck!

What have you all been doing this week? Any culinary hits?

Over the last week or so I have eaten enough food to feed the 4,000. I know Nicky (mother) says that all the time, but it's genuinely meant this time!

Right, brief food diary, woop with excitement won't you Heather..

Last Friday: Cheese toastie for breakfast (suprisingly delish), Greg's Spicy Chicken slice x2, YumYums x3, and Chinese for tea.
Saturday: Nothing all day but toast and doughnuts, until we went to Red Hot Buffet for Heather's Twenteenth (more on that later) I think I had about four fat plates of curry, noodles, samosas, chicken, everything! Annd a plate full of ice cream and mini desserts; which are amazing!
Sunday: Roast dinner after work, and snacking on chocolate into the wee hours.
Monday: Noodles. Lots of them, can't remember my tea, probably noodles.
Tuesday: More noodles, then a Yums, thennn a fat pizza and chips at about 2am.
Today: Cuppa for breakfast (feeling dodgy) then Maccies with Heather, didn't help much :')

Overall I feel like a total fatty, but I don't mind so much because I might actually put some weight on! Keepin' my fingers crossed.

Right, Saturday night was 'date night', or Heather's early Twenteenth celebrations :)
Myself and Danni wandered over to help her get ready/hurry her up as the meal was booked for 9. (we didn't start eating til about 9.45, like that matters) I helped her volumise her hair, but refused to put falsies on her as her eyelids are like paraletic monkies when she says they're closed. LIAR!
Anyways, Mr Sutton kindly gives us a lift to the station, not forgetting Vicki who we squeezed into the back basically sitting Caroline's lap. Andri was waiting for us and was in charge of tickets, so we ran as the train was there, shouting, "NOOOOOOO, DON'T LEAVE!"
We made it but looked like the unfittest people in Liverpool. Hey ho, life goes on.

Red Hot Buffet is amazing, if you look past the whole Heather spilt her drink on herself *claps* and the mandtory tip. I tip anyways but if it's force upon me I feel the need to rebel. Hence the snappy comment card remarks.

Taxi to Scream was, interesting let's say.. Met Sarah, Hannah, Abbie, Day, Michael and bumped into Casey, Jay etc.
Then stood in The Flute/outside for about 10mins while nobody could decide where we should go. When we all decided on Cava, we change our minds again. After that there was more of a kerfuffle, people parted ways, etc. Most of us ended up in the K, with the others catching up later on.
A lot of dancing, drinking, falling over, taking stupid eyes half-closed photos, more "dancing" took place.

I enjoyed it, I always do when I go out with that group :)

Fun times for all!
