Week (and a bit) in Photos

It's been about a fortnight, I know, I know. But uni's nearly over, just got a few bits to pull through next week and I'm finished until October, and I'm all yours :)

- After I tore apart my old rickety desk, my new one is up but I'm yet to take a photo of it, so bear with me if you're actually interested haha. It feels really nice to sit properly instead of lounging on my bed with my laptop all the time, makes me feel more productive I guess?

- Me in my Catastrophe Cosmetic mask from Lush. It's gorgeous, smells of bluberries and leaves my skin really soft and less red. Only down side is when it's drying, it goes slightly powdery, but I can live with it.

- The newsagents by mine sells huuge bags of my favourite M&M's for £1.50, guess who's getting all my spare pennies from now on?
- What I've been flicking through this week, having finished reading Strangers by Dean Koontz - he's such a talented thriller/sci fi writer, worth checking out!

- Movies I have/am going to watch this week. Already watched 40 Y-O Virgin and The Incredibles, plan to watch the modern Romeo & Juliet and maybe Ed Wood later tonight.

- Heather got a car for her 21st, we named it Tracey Beeper! haha awesome name :')
We drove up to Ormskirk to do some stuff at uni and had a look for stuf for her house party on Saturday. Picked up the shoes below for £19.99 in New Look, they're so comfy on, I love the chunky heel.

- The awesome cupcakes my mum's friend made for Heather, they looked gorgeous and tasted yummy.
And the stand they're on was handcrafted by Hope in my lean-to, with a stereo box, cellotape and silver spray paint. I supervised and made the tea ^_^

A couple of photos from her 21st house party and we then ventured into town for flavoured tequila, ridiculous dancing and sweaty times in The Krazyhouse. Such a fun night, everyone was really drunk, but thankfully no nasty drunks :P

Also I'm currently updating my Ipod for some summer tunes and for when we go to Cornwall in two weeks. Any fun/relaxing songs I should download?

Some photos to keep you amused during the next few friggin' paragraphs.. going off on a tangent again are we Jessica...

Helloo, sincere apologies for the lack of updates recently, but I do, as always, have a few excuses...

- I'm still mourning over my camera, and I'm resisting going to the
camera shop and enquiring about the fixing price as I fear it will cost more than the damn camera ¬__¬

- I've been in work alllll weekend, how dare it take over my two-day break from doing, well, not much. But it's been a hectic two days in the ol' shop - at lunch today I let some 'dude' walk into Tesco before me, he grabbed the last Chocolate Fudge Brownie milkshake, you should've seen the anger on my face! Both shifts went fast, but I panicked today as I had a VAT refund form to fill out (which sounds pretty easy, but I've never completed one by myself before, even after being there for THREE YEARS!) but I kept calm, messed it up, made a joke of myself, which I'm still not sure if the poor woman understood, but I kept my cool and fixed it... all by myself.
It's quite an achievement for me as I've always ran the other way and shouted for someone's help if I ever saw one of these forms in the past, but I feel a hurdle has been jumped, and this makes me determined to keep at it. However sad I may seem, I couldn't give a bigger shit as I'm proud of myself ^__^

Anyway, back to my lengthy and seemingly ridiculous excuses for my tardiness (my love for this word is aston
ishing) ...
I've spent the majority of this past week either with my friends, ordering far too much food for far too small a price, drinking Cider with diluting Ribena - try it, you won't be disappointed! Or laughing about some vile person she knows and I don't but I dislike him greatly, or curled up in Jack's, with a cuppa, some sweeties and a ruddy good movie (failing that, Alan Partridge has filled our time wonderfully)

My last excuse is my terrible, purse ruining addiction to magazines. I think I may have bought twice as many this week as I usually do. But it's not that bad considering I haven't yet renewed my Company sub, so seeing the last copy of September's issue in Sainsbury's was just fate.
Even if nobody else thinks it's fate, I do.
So is bagging the last box of diddy donuts and flapjack; 2 for £2.50, yeeeah ^__^
I'm so aware of how pathetic those excuses are, and with my head hung in shame, I'm shuffling off to watch Hocus Pocus and wait for Summerslam to come on. (No judgement, I'm a life-long wrestling fan!)
I promise I'll be back ASAP with pretty outfit photos and interesting blog posts, but for now it's adios.

Haven't updated this for just under a month, I feel disgusted but not too bothered; makes me think I've been pretty busy/having too much fun to come on this, which is a good thing :)
So here's a (not so brief) update, with a fat separate post about Cornwall still to come, avec photos of the beach, our awesome beach castle creations and the swans...
The 24th May was mine and Jack's 3-year anniversary ^__^ so we did it old school and went to the Switch Island Odeon with load of sweeties and Cherry Tango, to see Prince of Persia. The movie was pretty good, despite the cheese-toasty acting; but I later realised all the POP games are laced with cheesy and awkward one-liners when Jack was playing it a few days later. It's swimming in cool CGI, but they maybe took it one flip too far; some of them did seem unnecessary, but didn't really take away from the fact it was an enjoyable film.

After Cornwall, and the hottest car journey home ever, I pretty much showered, changed and jumped on the train for Donna's birthday bbq at her flat. It was lovely seeing Heather, Danni, Andri and Donna after almost two weeks, got to show off my awesome half-tan too.
We left Donna's to go for some drinks and dancing; off to Baabar where Heather got mentally scarred and mouth-raped by a guy who looked about 14 and danced like Michael Cera. So we go to Popworld, which was more enjoyable, apart from the guys in white suits - one completed his look with a bangin' mullet and 'tash. I got scarred by some dude who though dancing like a crab/fly hybrid was amusing/appealing to anybody :| Weirdest thing ever!
Actually it was weirder when I met Heather in a taxi Monday to go to Las Iguanas, she pulled out a crab toy from her work; it's now chilling with the green hippo hanging from my shelf.

Too much writing, writing writing. More updates soon.

Ok, so I had a gorgeously lazy but perfect birthday weekend with Jack. We went for a meal for his dad's birthday on Hallowe'en, his nan and grandad insisted on paying, they'r the cutest people ever.
I stayed in Jack's and we watched Frankie Boyle's dvd (which is obscenely hilarious) ate loads of crap and lazed in bed all night - I thought I'd be gutted about not going to town, but it was so much better. I love it when it's just us two, not surrounded by drunken nobs dressed as Spongebob and the Terminator.
he bought me the Frankie Boyle dvd, a huge penguin toy/pillow, it's seriously the softest thing I've ever known it's amazing! and he made me a new bracelet after my original one broke, which I think is gorgeous :) I love his presents, he always puts loads of thought into them (L)
I had Sunday off work but I went to get my birthday phone with my mum, then we went to see the Blackpool lights.

I've had the last week off uni as a "reading week" which has been lovely but this week I felt crap,
I think my mother passed on her gastric flu to me over this past week, I've felt crap.
Lovely things have happened though to balance it out. I went to see Fantastic Mr. Fox with Jack - weirdest movie ever but it's too good to not see. I love the way their legs move when they proper storm over the fields :')

This week in uni has been hilarious, mostly because nob'ed hasn't bothered to turn up, and when she did she couldn't stick to her word, she lied about going to a friend's funeral. She's definitely not worth it (apart from this little part) :)
Everyone's completely come out their shell, sitting in CMIST on our breaks is the funniest thing ever. I'll have to put up the gif's Cole made of him and the guys, they'r so disturbing, but you can't turn away :')

I'm off to watch the 40 Year Old Virgin with a cuppa though, I got it on my break today in CEX for £1.50, the guy ID'd me for Interview with the Vampire, which made me feel pretty good as I've felt incredibly old since turning TWENTY last week.
