#147 - Project 10 Pan/Current Empties

thanks to it raining & being grey all day, best I could do!

Figured I might as well do a little update on the ol' Project 10 Pan, or my current empties as everyone's calling it nowadays.
I used the above products up throughout September & October, did pretty well I think!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 wash/mask - I mentioned this in my A/W Essentials post and I love it, brilliant for oily skin. There are two backups waiting in my drawer already, so yes I would repurchase.

Beverly Hills Whitening Toothpaste - Bought this in Home Bargain for 99p to use in conjunction with the whitening strips I've been using. Does a brilliant job for the price, I've again repurchased already, would really recommend!

Pearl Drops Hollywood Smile toothpaste - again a whitening toothpaste, bought it on offer to see if it was any good, it was okay. It did whiten but not as much as I thought it would have. I would repurchase but not right now

Bioderma Sebium - A staple in my make up removal process, just makes everything so much easier & means I'm spending less time faffing about when I could be in bed! I buy these in bulk on Ebay, two 250ml bottles for £12 is a steal in my eyes! I'll continue to purchase this for a very long time.

L'Oréal Elvive Triple Resist Leave-In Treatment - despite the mouthful of a name, this is quite a good product. You spray it on your roots and work it down your hair after washing, then blow dry, It makes my hair feel stronger and nourished. I would repurchase again.

V05 Miracle Concentrate - When I first bought this I thought it was a HG item, but then I recieved other similar products, which did the same if not better. So I'd only repurchase once I ran out of my other hair oils and serums, which won't be for a long, long time!

L'Oréal Super Liner Carbon Gloss - Again, another staple in my make up routine. It's my go-to liner, I adore it. My only qualm with it is that if it gets wet at all it just rubs off. I am a contact lense wearer so I have to make sure I put my lenses in before I do my make up. Which isn't that hard, so I would obviously repurchase again, & again

Rimmel Instant Tan in Medium - Another steal from Home Bargain - girls, if you use this stuff, get it from there not Boots, saves you a few quid! I love this product, but I much prefer the waterproof version, just because if you spill a drink or it rains after applying this you look awful, streaky legs galore! So I would buy it again, just in waterproof.

Clearasil Overnight Treatment - Not much to say on this, it worked on spots and redness really well, but not different to any other spot gels or treatments. I personally prefer the Origins Super Spot Remover, so I wouldn't be in any rush to repurchase this.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - My HG concealer, I will never use another concealer, I am yet to find anything better, especially for the price! I'll always repurchase this bad boy.

#142 - July Empties

Samy 0 Calories Fat Hair Root Lifter - this is a godsend for my thin and generally crap hair. I used to have to wash my hair every other day, and it would drive me mad! I'm so lazy so something as tedious as that would wind me right up. But I gave this a shot a few months ago and haven't looked back since.
It allows me to have the thicker, more voluminous hair I've been wishing of for years! And to only wash my hair once or twice a week is amazing, I love it. Doesn't make my hair look greasy, even after four days it still looks as good as when I first washed it (may sound gross but I am made up!) If you have an oily scalp or thin and lacklustre hair I urge you to try this out. Plus it's on a 2 for 1 offer at Superdrug right now, so you might as well!

Maybelline Express Manicure Top Coat - This is brilliant and my current favourite topcoat. It dries really fast and helps my nail colour last longer than others I've tried. This bottle isn't finished, but it's gotten to that awkward nearly empty gloopy phase, so I've already bought a new'un.

Tresemme Heat Defence spray - not much to say, it does what it's meant to, you get a lot of product for your money and it smells really nice. Have used this for about five years and will continue to do so.

Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Pressed Powder - I dropped this and it smashed, waah :( Great powder to dust over your finished face, it keeps you looking fresh but not greasy for hours.
I need to buy another as the one I'm using as a replacement isn't as good; makes me feel abit cake-faced... again, waah.

Toni&Guy Firm Hold Hairspray - Got this from Home Bargains for my holiday and it's a decent hairspray, nothing too special but I chose it mainly for its dinky size to chuck in my bag. Do prefer the small Tresemme Lasting Hold hairspray though.

White Glo Whitening Toothpaste - Got this in a Glossybox a few months ago, only a sample size so I didnt notice much of a difference, but I'm tempted to buy the full size from Boots and give it a proper trial. I'm using the Beverly Hills whitening toothpaste right now, which I personally think works better.

Vitamin E Night Cream - Love this night cream, it's really rich but doesn't make my skin too oily, instead it feels soft and nourished. The Superdrug Vitamin E skincare line is really good, the quality is great considering how cheap it is. Will probably buy another tub once I run out of my Re-Gen cream.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Blow Dry Lotion - Got this before I'd seen or tried out the Samy one as above; it's ok, feels like it dries my hair out which I don't like, doesn't give as much volume or make my hair much thicker than it normally feels. Doubt I'll get it again as I'm so in love with the Samy range!

#137 - May Project 10 Pan

Now before I get any comments telling me I've miscounted, I knooow there's only eight items in the photo below, but in just the past few months I've used up loads of products, so I don't feel the need to choose ten each month, just however many I feel I can do.
These posts always seem to be the most popular when I peek at my stats, which I'm really glad about as it gives me a small (and sad) sense of pride doing them each month!

I know I'm very late on this one, but I completely forgot to post this earlier, it's been sat in my drafts for weeks, sorry guys!

John Frieda/Superdrug hair conditioners - I have about four of these sat in my drawers from the times I've dyed my hair at home. I do like these conditioners, they do their job very well, I just like others much better. I will use up at least two tubes though, I've nearly finished the white one so I should do it.

ELF Cream Eyeliner - Again, I really like this product, but I find liquid liners easier to use, simply because if I make a mistake with liquid, it's easy enough to amend, but it's much harder to remove and reapply this on my lid, and I don't like being too heavy-handed on my eyes. I think I'll use it up on days/nights when I can take my time applying my makeup.

Next Pink perfume - I got this in a set at Christmas and I love the smell, it's floral and fresh without being too heavy on the ol' nostrils. Again I put in the a drawer in favour of Flowerbomb and Naughty Alice, how naughty of me! It's a great Summer scent though, and I'll probably take it to Cornwall with me.

TBS Grapefruit Body Butter - I've had this a while and I do like it, it's very moisturising and sinks in relatively quickly, but the smell lingers longer than I'd like. I'll be using this before bed to nourish my legs.

S&G Flake Away - I love this scrub, but I currently have this tub which is half full, and another huge tub untouched! So I'm using it every other shower to get my body (mainly legs) beach-ready. But this scrub is bloody brilliant!

Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout - This is a great clarifying shampoo that contains stout beer, so your hair is much more shiny and it adds weight and volume to finer hair.

Rimmel Clear Complexion powder in transparent - Nothing much to say about this, it's just what i use to set my makeup, but I realised I have two half-used, so I need to use up one because it's driving me bananas! But it does the job, think it was either £4-5 so it doesn't break the bank either.

#136 - Current Empties

Due to deadlines and other ridiculous things that have gone on in my life over the last couple of week, I completely forgot to do an April Empties, and I've used up a couple of these over the last fortnight, so figured I might aswell just combine them into one post, much easier(lazier)

Tresemme Salon Finish Extra Hold hairspray - I bought this on a 2 for 1 thingy a few months back as I always like to keep hairspray in my bag for any sneaky little flyaways that may happen when I'm mincing about outside the house. This is probably my favourite hairspray, it was long lasting without making my hair feel crispy and wasn't sticky. I'm currently using a mini Toni & Guy hairspray from Home Bargains which is pretty good but I'll be keeping my eye out for this on an offer, snap it up again in no time!

S&G The Daily Smooth body butter - I bought this in a pack of three body butters last year, this one is my least favourite of the three. Butter Up was my favourite, it smels like orange and blueberries and was amazing at moisturising my skin and it kept it feeling smooth, so that got used up quicksmart! I still have half a tub of The Righteous Butter to use, which I do really like. I'm not keen on the smell of this, a little too perfumey for my taste, and it left my skin feeling slightly greasy.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - I love this stuff and love how strong and healthy it makes my hair feel, but I don't use it as often as I should, purely because I hate waiting around for it to do it's thang for five minutes. But now that I've finished uni (yay!) I can justify slapping this on post-shampoo, and whacking a warm towel on top and leaving it on for about ten minutes. I also have the shampoo and conditioner from the Hair Growth line, so will be using all three in conjunction to see if it'll kick my hair into growing a bit more!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in Fair - Not much to add about this concealer as every blogger seems to adore it. It's bloody brilliant stuff and if you haven't already tried it, get to Boots pronto! My only gripe is that the writing comes off the tube so quickly; I've had my new tube only a week and it's all come off. It's the only negative about it so can't really complain too much though.

Aussie Luciously Light 3MM Frizz Remedy - What a mouthful of a name. What can I say, I love Aussie with all my heart, I've been using their products (namely conditioners) for years and will continue to do so. Their 3MM are amazing, this one especially is brilliant for frizzy or static-prone hair. I tend to leave it on for about ten minutes, and it smells yummy!

Bourjois 10Hr Sleep Effect foundation - Despite this having the same label trouble as the Collection 2000 concealer, it's a brilliant foundation, one I used all last Summer when my skin was lovely and clear, and when I get it back into shape I will be repurchasing this beaut.

Rimmel 25Hr Lasting Finish foundation - This was my Winter foundation a few months ago, and I love the finish it gave when using the infamous ELF Powder brush, very flawless. I do feel it oxidised slightly when on my skin, but I was very pale over Winter so I'm not focusing on that point too much. Excellent if you want a medium to heavy coverage as it's very buildable.

17 Fast Finish nail varnish in Catwalk Couture - Love this formula, one coat dried in 60 seconds, though I tend to use two coats just for utimate opacity. The colour is gorgeous, very bright turquoise, perfect for Summer. Will have to repurchase asap!


I also couldn't resist sneaking in a quick photo from today; I caved and now am amongst the many other bloggers who own the Zara messenger bag. I have it in dove grey, it's gorgeous!

#130 - March Empties

Quite a fair amount of empty products from March, a few that I mentioned in my latest Project 10 Pan post, but some others I found lurking in my drawer that I wanted to use up before buying an alternative.

Sudocrem - Cannot fault this product, it's brilliant for spots, rashes, marks previous spots have left, just any general irritations your skin may have. I love they brought out this handy tube sometime last year, soo much easier than the tubs as I can have it in my bag when I'm travelling.

Lush's Mask of Magnaminty - I bought this about three months ago on the recommendation of the lovely shop assistant as I was after a mask that would help reduce the oil on my face, clear my skin up in general and sort out the dreaded pores on my nose. I love this mask, I'm going to repurchase it when I'm next out. I use it two times a week, maybe more if my skin needs it, and it deeply cleanses my skin leaving it feeling refreshed and squeaky clean, but not tight. The ground Aduki beans and Evening Primrose seeds allow for a gentle but effective exfoliation, reducing the amount of time you need to spend washing your face!
If you have oily/combination skin please try it, you won't be disappointed! And it lasts for ages as it doesn't need to be kept in the fridge.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter lip balm - A basic I picked up in one of Boot's 3 for 2 offers a while ago, but it's actually switched me from my beloved Carmex, to this sneaky sod. It's really moisturising, smells amazing and it heals and stops my lips from being chapped and horrible.

S&G's The Righteous Butter - I've already raved about this item before so I won't go on, but it's a brilliant moisturiser, really good for dry skin such as elbows, knees and heels.

Tresemme Split Remedy Hair Intense Recovery Masque - I bought this on a whim about four months ago when I was looking for a new deep treatment and spotted this was buy one get one free. Now I'm under no illusions and do not think this will repair my split ends; the only thing for that is a good chop! But this makes my hair so soft, so manageable, easier to style, and it makes my split ends less noticable which is a big plus. I tend to wash my hair and cover it in this, stick my hair turban on and leave it in for about an hour, so my hair can really soak it up. Another alternative is I coat my hair in this the night before I wash it and leave it in over night. You wash it the next day and have amazing feeling/looking hair. It's not too expensive either, worth a try!

Loreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss - I think every blogger and their cat uses this liner! But it is my favourite one yet, super black without having to layer it up, quick drying and the nib is the easiest one I've used so far. my only gripe is that it's not very water-proof, so if your eyes water in the wind or you have hayfever, this won't necessarily last long. But I think having a primer underneath helps its longevity.
I'm going to try out the S&G liquid liner next, as I love their kohl liner already!

Aussie 3MM Frizz Remedy - An old faithful, the Aussie 3MM's are something I always have in my drawer but don't always reach for, but when I do I always wonder why I leave them alone so much. It is fantastic and makes my hair really soft and lovely, makes me want to swish my hair around like one of those ridiculous TV ads!

S&G Scrub Em & Leave Em - I hate to end the post on a negative, but I do not like this scrub. I got it as part of a set at Christmas, and was looking forward to trying it out as I've been in love with S&G's Flake Away for over two years now. But this did not exfoliate my skin that well, it was hard to rinse off and it left my skin feeling sticky, like there was a thin film covering it. I'm disappointed as this is the only S&G product I've tried and disliked. But I'm happy I finished it off as I wasn't prepared to just chuck it out, I'm pretty stubborn like that.
